Tusk announces changes in health financing. "A lot of money went to increase salaries"

During an hour-long exposé in the Sejm , Prime Minister Donald Tusk omitted the topic of the healthcare system . During the subsequent debate , questions about health were asked by MPs .
In response, the head of government spoke about plans to increase spending on health care and the remuneration of medical personnel.
- Everyone beat your breasts, everyone without exception. We know that health spending is growing, growing asymmetrically. You know which act I am talking about when I talk about this asymmetry. A lot of money went to increase salaries in health care. Today we can say that they are decent salaries - said Tusk.
He admitted that "it would be good if the increase in expenditures concerned mainly patients, and not doctors' salaries". He calculated that next year the increase in expenditures on health care will exceed PLN 25 billion, compared to the current one.
- We are preparing such plans, such actions of the National Health Fund so that this money will go to the maximum extent to places, procedures, activities that will be beneficial to patients, and will not be redirected to a significant percentage to increase wages - he explained.
He emphasized that funds for hospitals from the KPO in the amount of PLN 10 billion were unblocked.
- Over 380 hospitals are currently using this money, from the KPO. They are investing in oncology and long-term care, among other things - Tusk listed.
The Prime Minister also responded to questions about in vitro.
- Since we restored funding for the in vitro procedure, 841 girls and 835 boys have been born. We currently have 13,909 clinical pregnancies and 33,737 couples who have qualified for the program. It costs some money, but it is worth all the money. I am happy and I say it with pride that it once again brings both demographic and, above all, happiness to those couples who have their offspring - said the Prime Minister.
